i’m not exactly sure what’s going on here but i feel like jericho just infiltrated and messed up one of s lade’s carefully laid anti-teen-titan plans big time and daddy ain’t pleased
This is so incredibly chilling.
Full entire complete offense but JJ Abrams looked John Boyega in his face and told him he was the new star of Star Wars. John Boyega had to deal with disgusting racist protests because he’s a lead in Star Wars. Disney’s award consideration category lists John Boyega as “Best Actor.” Bonus features for the TFA DVD couple Finn & Rey together and present them as co-leads. In the TFA Documentary, Rick Carter, the lead Production Designer, clearly talked about trying to create iconography to represent “the journey these TWO people are going to take into the next generation.” Lawrence Kasdan, co-writer of TFA, said they chose to have Finn be a deserting stormtrooper because he “thought it would be incredible to pull OUR HERO” from the ranks of previously faceless automatons. TFA is clearly BOTH Finn & Rey’s origin stories. STOP SAYING KYLIE RENNER IS A LEAD. STOP ACTING LIKE REY IS THE ONLY LEAD. STOP ERASING FINN. FINN EXISTS. FINN IS A LEAD.
T'Challa/Black Panther is a brilliant tactician, strategist, scientist, tracker and a master of all forms of unarmed combat whose unique hybrid fighting style incorporates acrobatics and aspects of animal mimicry. T'Challa being a royal descendent of a warrior race is also a master of armed combat, able to use a variety of weapons but prefers unarmed combat. He is a master planner who always thinks several steps ahead and will go to extreme measures to achieve his goals and protect the kingdom of Wakanda.
I saw someone wearing this cute af outfit today and I just thought it was something Marinette would (should) totally wear and drew it. I ladybug-ed the skirt though lol.
Sometimes I think I draw Marinette too much, but then I realize you can never have enough Marinette //shot

Bring it. I’m ready for a rebirth.
Im not joking.
I mean it when I say I really want non-disabled neurotypical people kept well the fuck away from mental health and disability fields.
The amount of ableism and abuse they dish out to the disabled and mentally ill people they claim to be working to ‘help’ is horrifying. As is the number of abled neurotypicals who go into those fields, particularly psychology, to satisfy their gross ‘fascination’ with ‘the cr*zies’ and dont actually give two shits about neurodivergent and disabled people and in fact barely seem to consider us to be human.
And how exactly would you like this to be enforced?
Let’s leave aside the issue of whether it’s Constitutional. Let’s leave aside whether it’s practical. Even though those are huge issues. Let’s put them aside for now.
How exactly are you going to know who’s neurotypical and who isn’t?
Full disclosure: I am a neuroatypical psychology major. I doubt any of my professors know. My college generally knows I deal with depression, because there was a period a few years back when it was affecting my schoolwork and my therapist had to get involved. But I also have a compulsive disorder that I don’t think a single person at my school knows about (most people in my life don’t, period), because, guess what, there’s a lot of stigma around that. I don’t walk around with a “GUESS WHAT, I HAVE DEPRESSION AND A COMPULSIVE DISORDER” sticker on my forehead, and if i didn’t tell you, you might not know.
And I don’t think I should have to do that to prove I’m worthy to study psychology. I see people making these “KEEP NEUROTYPIC ALS OUT OF THE MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONS” posts all the time, and it infuriates me on so many levels. Partly because I think trying to create such a system would be impractical. Partly because I’m not at all convinced it would be the right thing to do.
But also because to do so would strip neuroatypical Psych students and psychologists of their right to privacy, and screw that honestly. I shouldn’t have to tell my school and my professors about things which are incredibly personal and hard to talk about and stigmatized to prove that I’m ~neuroatypical enough~ for you. It’s not your right to know. It has no bearing on my ability to be a therapist.
I also… really don’t get the logic that having one mental condition makes you better at treating every mental condition? I mean, sure, maybe I’ve got more empathy with mental struggles generally because of my personal experience. But for the most part, the only conditions I can clai m a unique understanding of are the ones I’ve dealt with. I get depression and trichotillomania, because they’re part of my life. And maybe I have a somewhat better understanding of other compulsive behaviors like cutting because I deal with something similar. But something like, say, schizophrenia? I don’t understand that any better than a neurotypical would.
So how would you like this to work, exactly? Am I “qualified” to treat people with similar conditions to me, but not others? Who exactly am I supposed to show my “qualifications” to to prove I’m worthy of entering the field? Who makes those judgments, how should they be legally enforced?
Because I see posts like this all the time, and I have yet to think of answers to those questions that don’t make me deeply uncomfortable.
we could be i m m o r t a l s
(no really, we could.)
BLESS YOU FOR MAKING THIS SO MUCH. I HAD BEEN HOPING SOMEONE WOULD USE THIS SONG, AND YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB.
(Also, look how badass my children are! <3)
bruh its been Weeks and I can not get over that one bvs line, u know the one:
Lois: you’re psychotic!
Lex: thats just a word for something little minds can’t understand
….I know this is hard to understand neurotypicals but psychotic ppl are real and there’s nothing spectacularly evil or mystical about them dude they just have a medical condition like can u imagine if we had this line instead
Lois: you’re asthmatic!
Lex: that’s just a word for something little minds can’t understand >:)
Even people who really, really should know better seem to treat the words “psychotic” and “psychopathic” as interchangeable, a nd… they’re really, really not, you guys.
“Psychotic” refers to someone who has trouble distinguishing between what’s real and what isn’t, like someone who has hallucinations or hears voices. It can also refer to people who have certain kinds of mood disorders. People who are psychotic are just mentally ill. They’re not any more good or evil than anyone else.
“Psychopathic” on the other hand refers to someone who’s a psychopath. And the first thing you need to know about psychopaths is that, contrary to how the term is often used, they’re not “crazy”. What they are is lacking normal empathy and moral conscience. It’s much closer to what people think of when they hear the word “sociopath” than to an actual mental illness.
These two concepts are not the same. At all. Lex Luthor is not psychotic, and if he was it would be extremely problematic to relate that to his supervillainy. He is, however, arguably psychopathic, and I’m pretty sure that’s what Lois (and the screenwriters) meant to call him.
